DIY Face Scrub

Over the past few weeks I’ve been using this face-scrub to wash my face once or twice a week and let me just say that, I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on my skin complexion. I’ve also been noticing how my makeup applies more smoothly and looks way more natural and it also has an even texture and finish.

I have read a lot and lots of home-made recipes over the past years, and one day I was home getting a “at-home-spa-day” and wondered around the kitchen and found the most basic and right on hand ingredients, so without more further ado, let’s jump into the ingredients and it’s benefits!

What you’ll need:

Olive oil
Sugar
Face Soap
Mixing bowl

Olive Oil: Rich in vitamins, minerals and natural fatty acids. It’s also convenient for a sensitive skin. Is also a powerful ingredient of anti-aging skin care products; rich in antioxidants, it prevents skin aging, the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, it also nourishes, rejuvenates and protects the skin, rich in vitamin E and A, olive oil helps prolong youth, hydrates the skin, maintains its elasticity and softness. Also, olive oil helps skin cells to regenerate.

Granulated Sugar: Sugar’s small particles make an excellent topical exfoliant, and are used in a number of body scrubs to exfoliate dead surface skin cells and reveal the glowing, healthy-looking skin underneath; sugar is also a natural humectant; sugar helps encouraging the cell turnover and generating fresher, younger-looking skin.

Unscented Soap: Prevents irritation ans allergies, it also help to cleanse and remove impurities from the skin.

1. Gather all of the ingredients, an empty bowl, and place a towel underneath of them to create a designated area for you to make the DIY mess-free.

2. Pour some liquid soap into the bowl, about two quarter sizes.

3. Pour the sugar into the bowl until it covers the soap.

4.Pour some olive oil, until you cover the sugar don’t make it over flow, remember it has to have a thick consistency .

5. Mix your little concoction of healthy ingredients

6. Stop when you reach this kind of consistency; Make sure to not over mix, otherwise you’ll start dissolving the sugar and it will defeat it’s purpose as an exfoliant.

Once you’ve created the perfect consistency, damp your face with warm water and let the scrubbing begin. I usually stop until the sugar it’s dissolved witch really doesn’t take more than 5 minutes tops.

Rinse with warm water and proceed to wash your face with a regular gentle cleanser to get rid of the sugar residue on your face and after rinse with cold water to close up your pores and avoid any creation of dark circles.

What’s inside of my IPSY Bag? “Floral Fantasy” | March 2015

A few days ago I got my first IPSY Bag, and I am really exited to share what I got with you guys, along with my thoughts on the product and the service overall… Let’s start!

My first thought was about the bright pink shipping packaging bag that the signature makeup bag comes in with; that right there totally caught my attention, then I went ahead and opened it; I was very surprise about everything that came inside of the blue/flowered pattern makeup bag, design inspired under the Spring time and named “Floral Fantasy” I love it!. Anyway…I was given a few, full size products, and a bush, that, got me very excited. And without any more further ado, and me finally stop the blabbering here’s what I got on IPSY Bag!

And I also got very excited and I took pictures of all of the swatches I made to share it with you guys! I also need to mention that I love the brush I got, It’s a concealer brush from Crown Brushes that I mostly use to apply cream based products on my face; the oil treatment I may add that smells really good and I honestly haven’t seen any changes towards the usage of it onto my hair.

Overall I loved this month IPSY Bag, It is totally worth more money than the 10$ subscription that I paid, at least this is the case with this month bag. I will keep on being subscribed to this amazing company.

Covergirl + OLAY “The De-Puffer”

My most recent purchase has been this little guy, and I decided to give it a try after I saw it on MissGlamorazzi’s video, where she uses this particular product and I figured, why not give it a try!? it looks cool, what do I have to loose? So I went ahead and order it online and I have been using this concealer religiously ever since I got it, and so here are my thoughts on it, Enjoy!.

I love so much when Covergirl and OLAY team up and create a new product, it’s always so exiting to try, I know when creating this line of products they might think that the target audience will be mature woman. This being said I know that it might sound weird how much I love this line. What makes this makeup line so wonderful is the actual fact that it’s targeted for this audience; these type of skins are constantly needing extra moisture, a filler consistency to diminish the appearance of age and fine lines, this is what makes this makeup line more hydrating on the skin, leaving a silky finish on a younger skin. So I think it’s safe to address how much I really like the formula, I also think it works wonders on the under eye area, leaving a smooth finish and avoiding dryness.

Second thing, “The Metal Tip” I am honestly not the biggest fan of it, but I also don’t hate it, although, I think I do hate it when I’m doing my makeup around 6AM since the tip gets so cold, but once again it works why the De-Puffing effect that you are looking for. I still have mixed feelings with the coldness of the metal tip, though, lol but it works!

Overall, I give this concealer 4.5 Stars out 5, since I think, it’s a great product, great formula, and I does fulfill it’s purpose, and I may also add that it’s slowly becoming one of my fave concealer of all times.

Fashionable Workout ” keep your self Inspired”!

As is well known, must of us set “working out” as one of or New Year resolutions. I also set this as my goal, maybe not just start working out but being more active!!! here are tree tips for you to accomplish your goal.

KEEP YOURSELF MOTIVATED. Find something to do that you find nice and interested to do so you always want to do it. For me this would be dancing, yoga and running!! if you try this and this doesn’t work because you don’t find any of this activities like something you want to do every day or most o the time; maybe, it’s because you get tired of them, find something else that motivates you. For example in my case as a person interested on fashion. Having new outfits and new accessories make me happy, so when I go shopping I’ll try buy some active wear that will motivate me to work out. For me pulling up and old pair of sweats wasn’t going to keep me motivate to reach my goal, so I went ahead and bought my self this really cute active wear and accessories form Lulu Lemon, Lucy, and Nike.I bought 4 Lulu Lemon and Lucy outfits plus a NIKE Fuel Band ( If you want me to explain what it is or what it does live a comment in the bar below and I’ll post everything about it).

DO IT WITH SOMEONE. Find friends or family that support you and want to workout with you so you have someone to have fun with. My sister, she loves running and she inspires me to go with her and run not because I know I’m going to have fun and company doing it. Plus I know if she is with me and I’m tired and want to give up, she wont let me do it.

and last but no least, “JUST DO IT” start working out and don’t give up.

Hair Care Haul

Recently I went on a little shopping spree for hair care and got so many cool stuff, Some of them I have tried before and some are new and exiting. I’ve been using most of this products this past week and I can give you a mini review of all of the products. Without more further a do. Let’s jump right into the HAUL!

Fist thing I got was the was the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil, I got a little sample of this big wonder, tried it, finished all up, and ended up being totally in love with this product.

This little baby helped my hair to gain body, shine, and just be more healthy overall; this doesn’t make you have the “appearance of healthy hear” it actually gives you healthy hair over time. It has a light weight formula that leaves your hair shiny and with a lot of hydration without weighing it down, it’s just so awesome. I would totally recommend this if you have really damaged hair regardless of the type of damage that you may have, it’s really worth the shot. I would also said that it’s best to use it on wet to damped hair for better absorbance and for more lightweight feeling, but you can also use after you styled the hair as a seal.

I was running out of my Guardian Angel Heat Protectant, and so I decided to go for something a little bit more high-end, and also they had a 2 for the price of one deal, that I just couldn’t resist. And I ended up getting 2 bottles of the KENRA Platinum Blow-Dry Mist.

When it comes to this product I have, some kind of love and hate relationship. First of all I just want to address the fact I use this product for Blow-Drying purposes as well as Flat Ironing or Curling Iron, that being said!. I totally HATE the greasy feeling that it gives when you are flat or curling ironing your hair and the first finish result its just a greasy hair, and the first thing that crosses your mind is: “oh gosh!, look at all of this oily mess and I just washed my hair today” and once you are finished and you let you hair settle for a little while, you just end up with this amazing bouncy hair that is also full of body. and that’s what’s makes me keep reaching for this product.

Also my hair has been showing less and less split ends, ever since I started using this mist. I would recommend it, because it’s a good product the end result it’s beautiful, the smell it’s just right, and it really does cuts down the styling time.

I also got the It’s a 10 Miracle leave-in PLUS Keratin, Just cause I wanted to try it out, and guess what!? This is perfect to use in your hair care routine to avoid UV damage and protects, or just as a leave-in conditioner that has that little extra something. This is just an easy no brainer type of product that you cannot go wrong with it. additionally helps by cutting down blow drying time, gives amazing softness, detangles, seals cuticules for extra silky hair, restores hydration balance. I love this product in my hair routine, it’s just the perfect extra something that my dried/heat/colour damaged hair could ask for. BTW I also got the original formula, they are both good but the keratin that this one has, it just helps my hair to be more stronger, that’s why from now on I’ll be buying this one instead.

remember that too much protein in the hair can damage it as well.

I was feeling adventurous that day at the ULTA Store, and saw this new line (at least new to me) and smelled it, and I was hooked. but let me tell you this silk express, it no joke, it really just go and do the job right in the second; I use it on wet/damped hair and once it’s dry, my hair it’s just so soft, looks healthy and smells amazing. Although I don’t know if this product just gives you the feeling of healthy looking hair instead of repairing it, but regardless of that It hasn’t done anything bad for my hair and I just love the way it feels. So I will highly recommend it if you want that amazing feeling of healthy and silky hair.
