I am very impressed with the quality of this month’s IPSY Bag, it’s so pretty and the bag has this really awesome texture that I really love. Products wise, I love I got a full size blush and I got to try the balm eyeshadows, I was really looking forward to that and this two products got me the most exited this month. I also got a sample perfume by Jor’el Parker and the sent name is Femina, this perfume it’s so bomb and I am considering getting the full size.

Last to products are  the Hey Honey, Good Morning – Honey Silk Facial Serum and the Starlooks Satin Finish Lip Gloss that I am really happy to try out! 🙂 I love the color of the lip gloss for an everyday makeup look, and regarding the Serum, I absolutely love the consistency of it.

Featured Makeup Look: “Sexy Smokes”

Hello Guys! I was feeling so inspired to do my makeup and blog it to you, and so I put an extra effort when I was doing it, I had so much fun though, let me know if you want more blogs like this one… Anyway!… You guys have no idea, how much I love a good old Smokey Eye! And I think I quite mastered the perfect method/technique to create one.

I mainly use 3 or 4 colors, but most of the times I’ll do 3: A super dark shade, a medium shade, a light shade (4th optional color), and a nude highlight (can either be with or without shimmer).

When applying, I start from Top (Brow) to Bottom (Lid area); If you start from the from the top, you help your smokey eye by creating a base for the gradient effect from going dark to light, if that makes any sense. let me explain with steps.

1. Apply your highlighting shade on the brow bone and bring the remaining shadow down towards the crease.

2. Pack on the darkest shade on your lid and bring the remaining that’s left on the brush towards the crease.

3. Grab the medium shade and blend into the crease, creating windshield wiper motions to help you blend, whenever you feel like you are all blend out and ready to go, take a second look and blend again, the key for the perfect smokey eye it’s how well blended the shadows are.

3.A (If you are using 4 colors) Use the medium shade to help blend out the darkest shade you placed onto the lid, after that’s blended use the light shade in between the medium shade and the highlight shade, right on the upper side of the crease working it a little bit towards the lower part of the brow bone.

4. Go over the darkest shade and pack a little bit more of the shadow onto your lid.

5. Create a gradient effect with the bottom lash and make it connect with the whole eye.

6. Finish off with some tight-line and eyeliner onto the lower lash-line and don’t forget mascara!

After following these simple steps you should be left with something like this… What do you guys think!? and yeah, sorry about my weird-looking faces. lol. but you get the idea…

To finish off the look I applied a very soft peach blush and went with nude lips. I also like to reapply concealer after I’m done with the eyes, this will make your colors pop out more.

Hope my thoughts and tips were helpful for you guys, let me know your thoughts, suggestions, requests; and also let me know if you have any questions regarding the makeup look. Don’t forget to share it with your peeps and give us your feedback! until next time! muah!

Review: MEGA PROTEIN by Wet N’ Wild

Hi there you guys, I went to the Drugstore one of this days and of course, I came across “The Makeup Aisle” and I started looking for mascaras, and I noticed that there are a lot of mascaras out there ranging from very expensive such as $15 (come on! that’s expensive for drugstore!) going all the way down to very cheap such as $2. When I saw this $2 Price tag, I was like, no way! that must be the worst mascara, ever I grab it started reading the packaging and then I thought to myself maybe this is not that bad, and I might need to try this mascaras and break the stigmas we have around cheap thing not being great,

Long story short, I went ahead and got the MEGA PROTEIN Mascara by Wet N’ Wild in the water-proof formula in the color very black. IMG_0874

The Product Claims:

  • PARABEN-FREE
  • NOURISHES YOUR LASHES
  • SOY PROTEIN FORTIFIED
  • ENRICHED WITH ACAI OIL
  • LASH CONDITIONING

My Thoughts:

  • I love the curl that It gives to my lashes and they stay up all day (that might have to be with the water-proof formula).
  • Applies very easily with no clumps and it won’t live you with spidery lashes if you put 2 coats.
  • Separates lashes, giving a filling effect
  • I love the fact that we have so many nourishing and fortifying elements going into this formula, that I have noticed that my lashes don’t get as damage as if I would use any other water-proof formula, they are less dry and they haven’t got any thinner with me using this mascara, and I’ve been using it for 2 weeks straight.
  • How does it take off!? Well it’s definitely not as easy as if you would be wearing a regular formula. I find that I have to use 2 cotton balls in order to take the entire product of my eyes
  • The down side!? They give you very little product, but once again, you only pay like 2$ so I guess it’s fair.

DEMO

For the DEMO, I took pictures of me in different parts of the application process, so you can see the actual performance of the mascara itself, and for that reason, I am only wearing mascara, foundation and a neutral blush; and totally avoid any kind of distracting colors such as, eye shadows and glitter off my face.

Finally, I totally recommend this product, I think it’s so worth the try, you get so much overall for so little money. I ended up very happy with this purchase and I will totally repurchase this whenever I ran out of it.

Hope this review was helpful for you guys, let me know your thoughts, suggestions, requests, also let me know if you have any questions regarding the product. Don’t forget to share it with your peeps and give us your feedback! until next time! muah!
