Covergirl + OLAY “The De-Puffer”

Covergirl olay depufferMy most recent purchase has been this little guy, and I decided to give it a try after I saw it on MissGlamorazzi’s video, where she uses this particular product and I figured, why not give it a try!? it looks cool, what do I have to loose? So I went ahead and order it online and I have been using this concealer religiously ever since I got it, and so here are my thoughts on it, Enjoy!.

I love so much when Covergirl and OLAY team up and create a new product, it’s always so exiting to try, I know when creating this line of products they might think that the target audience will be mature woman. This being said I know that it might sound weird how much I love this line. What makes this makeup line so wonderful is the actual fact that it’s targeted for this audience; these type of skins are constantly needing extra moisture, a filler consistency to diminish the appearance of age and fine lines, this is what makes this makeup line more hydrating on the skin, leaving a silky finish on a younger skin. So I think it’s safe to address how much I really like the formula, I also think it works wonders on the under eye area, leaving a smooth finish and avoiding dryness.

Second thing, “The Metal Tip” I am honestly not the biggest fan of it, but I also don’t hate it, although, I think I do hate it when I’m doing my makeup around 6AM since the tip gets so cold, but once again it works why the De-Puffing effect that you are looking for. I still have mixed feelings with the coldness of the metal tip, though, lol but it works!

Overall, I give this concealer 4.5 Stars out 5, since I think, it’s a great product, great formula, and I does fulfill it’s purpose, and I may also add that it’s slowly becoming one of my fave concealer of all times.

Hope You all liked it, don’t forget to comment and share!                 XX. Allie, TeamGlamItUp

How to Deep Clean Your Makeup Brushes

Did you know that you should be cleaning your makeup brushes at least once a week?!? When you use your brushes, bits of makeup, oil, dirt, and  bacteria get trapped in the bristles, and this in the long run might get you some acne, clogged pores and even some allergies.

Cleaning your makeup brushes is quick and easy. Not to mention the fact that quality makeup brushes can be expensive. So learning how to properly clean them is one of the best ways to protect your precious investment. Also, your brushes will need a few hours to dry after a deep cleaning, so I’d recommend washing theUntitledm after you’ve applied your makeup that day.

You’ll need:
• A shallow bowl
• Baby shampoo
• Your sink
• A lint free cloth or towel

Instructions:

deepcleanbrushes

  1. Start by running your brushes under warm water, rinsing out all of the residual makeup. Try to focus on the actual bristles while avoiding the part of the brush where handle meets the head, as this can loosen the glue over time and cause the bristles to fall off the handle.
  2. Fill the shallow bowl with warm water and a squirt of shampoo.
  3. Swirl gently your brush tip under running water. If you need to, you can also swirl the brush in the palm of your hand to work up a lather.
  4. Rinse the brush tip under running water once again, facing the bristles down. Repeat steps two and three until the water runs clear from the brush.
  5. Use a cloth to wipe your brush clean, reshaping the bristles as you go.
  6. Lay your brushes on an angle, on top of a cloth to dry.

Alright you guys, there you have it a quick, easy, effective and cheap way to deep clean your makeup brushes. Make sure to incorporate this onto your beauty routine so you can avoid skin problems such as acne and more.

rs_560x415-140211085529-560.jennifer-aniston-friends.ls.21114_copy

Looking natural and fresh might be one of the trickiest look to create. Wearing a dramatic make-up on the daily bases can make us seem like we are trying to hard. A natural look is the best way to go for our everyday make-up.The bright Red Lipstick doesn’t need to come up every day. Don’t get me wrong, We do need red lipstick in out life but not to wear it for work every day.! We can use are fun stuff for a lunch date, hang out with friends, dinner, cocktails after work and any other occasion that you have on mind. I will give you tips for a natural look including face, eyes, and lips.

1.  Apply a primer will help your makeup to look smooth and clean. It can also cut way down on the likelihood of any creasing that can happen with your shadow. not caked on or uneven. Second, when you apply primer to your eyelids, you

2.  Mix bronzer with your usual face lotion to dilute the color and help it spread easily. It will help us get a sun-kissed look without looking like you added anything to your skin.

3.  Use the correct concealer color: When concealing trouble spots like dark circles or pimples, using the right kind of concealer is crucial. Avoid orange, “fake tan” colors of concealer. Use yellow-toned concealer for redness or dark circles, lavender concealer for yellowish skin or extremely dark circles and green concealer for pimples or other red spots.

4.  Groom your brows whether that mean shaped, tweezed or waxed. Eyebrow pencil, when used, should be two to three shades lighter than your actual brow color.

5.  Blend, blend, blend! Obvious as it may sound, blending your makeup can make or break a look. With each step of your makeup routine, blend your makeup, then blend once more just for good measure.

6.   We’re going for the “barely there” look for every day, choose neutral colors that will compliment your skin tone. While it’s true that purple shadows bring out hazel eyes and greens bring out brown eyes, keep things looking natural with shades of tan, brown and cream for shadows. When it comes to blush, go for peaches and roses, or the color your cheeks naturally become when you’re flushed.

7.  Avoid using mascara that either clumps or flakes. First and foremost, if your mascara is more than three months old, you need to ditch it for a fresh one. Old mascara gets dried out, causing clumps, flakes and sometimes even infection. Curl your eyelashes before applying mascara for a good, natxc872e2deq8b78ebural base, then apply by shaking the wand at the root of the eyelashes and brushing up and out. For a more natural look, apply just one coat.

8.  There are some of us, who won’t leave the house without something on their lips, keep things looking natural with a lip stain or tint that’s two shades deeper than your natural color for a “just kissed” look. When you’re going for an au naturel lip, avoid waxy lipsticks or dark shades.

Now we know how to create a gorgeous natural look for our every day make-up. Next time you try this look, don’t forget to take a picture and tweet us with the #teamglamitupnatural. I cant wait to see what you guys came up with!!!!

Wish you the best

Neutrogena, Skin Clearing Blemish Concealer

Hello everyone, maybe most of you guys don’t know, but I’ve been dealing with acne for quite a big portion of my life, ever since I was a teenager, now I’m 23 and here I am, still dealing with acne. I been trying a lot of products to help me get rid of my acne, and I still haven’t had any success, until know, that I feel like I am going in the right track for finally getting rid of my acne and so I feel like I am finally able to speak about it, and give you guys some of my own tips that have been helping me, and they may help you too.

If you have acne, you know it’s better to not put anything on it, let it breath and let it heal by itself, but, what do you do when you need to go to school? or work? or maybe going out? or even worst what about taking pictures!?. Even though you know that putting makeup it’s not good, you still put it on, in fact, you pile it on and that just makes things worst for your skin and the never ending circle of pimples and breakouts begins.

Jen, gave me this Concealer once and I was like, ok let’s give it a try and guys, that was the best thing I did. This concealer helps with all the embarrassed that it’s caused by acne, and helps with cover in it and while it’s doing the job makes a second job witch is healing the damaged skin and also helps with getting rid of your acne. So in a few words, this thing it’s good stuff!.

Now that I rambled on and on about acne and stuff, lets jump right into the more in depth review

What does this product claims!? Well this is what the packaging says:

  • Blemish Treatment with Salicylic Acid
  • Conceals and treats blemishes
  • Natural looking coverage

What do I have to say about this claims?

Just so you guys can have a little background on my skin: I have normal to oily skin with some dry patches around the edges, I get and sporadic pimple mostly on my checks or forehead, but recently my skin have been crazy and I have a hole bunch of pimples on my checks (sad face), this being said!

I agreed with the fact that treats and conceals my breakouts because since I’ve been wearing this my pimples seem to been reducing a lot, I mean I still have them but they are noticeable gone and better looking. here’s a before and after photos they are 10 days apart, what so you think about this results!? I will let you be the judge. Natural looking coverage? yes and no! How is that? you may ask, well, that’s because I found out that for me it’s best if I don’t wear foundation underneath because you can tell the concealer it’s there, in the other hand I have to give it the benefit of the doubt because if it is an acne treatment well you are only supposed to use that product, right? because you want it directly in touch of your skin problem right? so I like to use it alone and put a little bit of powder foundation to keep it in place and cover any other thing that I might need to cover like redness. Blemish Treatment with Salicylic Acid, Well it does says on the ingredients that it, and it is a good treatment, so that’s also true.

Before and After Photos?!?!?

The Down Side of product!?: The dispenser looks very unhygienic, so try to not touch your affected areas with the dispenser sponge to help it keep it clean and bacteria free; another thing I also didn’t like was that you get really little product and the twist thing, witch I’m not that big of a fan of it, but regardless of those inconvenient it’s a good product and It has been working a lot for me.  So and OVERALL I’ll give a 4 Stars to this product because, I really love it because of what it does for my face.

Hope you guys find this helpful, feel free to give us any comments we love all the feedback and you can also tweet us @teamglamitupp
